Big frothy head. Malt and cinnamon in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor, loaded with cinnamon and licorice. A bit onedimensional, but a nice one.

Dark counterpart of Alvinne’s first beer, from before they began experimenting with barrel aging and their Morpheus yeast. Deep burgundy with a thin, off-white head; caramelly, fruity, sweetish with thinnish body, a faint sourishness, dryish yeasty finish. Acceptable but nothing compared with the experimental inventions they would come up with later.

Alvinne’s take on the Belgian dubbel. Very lively and yeast beer, with a large head. Malty, spicey and mildly fruity. Good.

A clear reddish mahoganny brown ale with a super thick big bubbled dark mocha head. In aroma, smooth herbaceous nutty malt, with caramel, dark fruits, raisins, and light licorice. In mouth, a smooth nutty burned caramel with light curacao, licorice and some signs of oxidation...still in good shape. Bieropholie imports.

Bottle from Bier Temple in Brussels. Pours hazy dark amber with a foamy clingy light beige head. Aroma is somewhat treacle. Medium body with mild foamy carbonation. Flavor is caramel with a touch of treacle, and something like a citrus bitter. A sort of sweet/bitter mix. Pretty good drink.

Bottle, 33cl. It’s a clear, copper-colored beer with a small, creamy, off-white head sitting on top. Bready, sweet, roasted nose, feeling quite sugary. Sweet, slightly bready flavor with caramel and sugar. Full-bodied and sweet on the palate. The finish has a nice hoppy bitterness to balance it. A decent beer, feeling sort of boring. Still it’s a quite good one. 090828

21st April 2008 Froth brown beer. Unusual taste in as much as it’s herby and medicinal, a shade too much so. Quite drinkable though!

2003 bottle at Delirium Cafe. Slightly cloudy dark red amber, with a lasting off-white head. Fruity aroma with raspberries and chocolate, a little vineous. Dry and slightly tart flavour with berries and caramel.
