Geel bier met schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig, niet typisch Helles, meer Pilsener. Smaak blijft redelijk lang hangen.

Bottle - clear yellow pour with white head. Aroma and taste is grassy, floral, some corn, straw, lemony fruity notes, easy drinking, ok.

German lager from a conspicuous bottle. Snow white, loosely structured and rather thin head, colour a pale straw blonde, cristal clear. Aroma of pale Pilsener malt, sweetish, a bit grainy with a grassy and fennel-like, aromatic hoppiness. Taste a rounded maltiness, very subduedly sweetish, relatively quickly evolving into a long, herbal hop bitterness, quite strong for this style (and probably due to the fact that it’s been hopped with both pellets and extracts), thirst-quenching. Apparently listed as a Helles here, but to me it seemed more like a typical northern German Pilsener.

Bottle. Golden with a decent white head and moderate carbonation. Easy drinking lager, with solid malts and a touch of hop in the finish. Fine.

Ah, the last beer of the pub crawl, at the apparently legendary Bolschoi in Marburg, a very specific place to say the least. Didn’t expect to find anything rateable, but to my surprise, this popped up. Golden body I guess. Light crappy herbal/vegetable aroma. Turns out to by an ordinary lager, dry, somewhat husky, with some vague hopiness in the aftertaste. The hopiness IS slightly more interesting than the norm, vaguely fruity for a second, so it might be just a touch more interesting than the usual golden dross that’s served around. Yay for that.

Clear, pale golden colour, white head. Aroma of malt, hay, light hops. Malty flavour. Light sweet, light bitter flavour. Malty finish, quite bitter, light lemon grass.
Another lager. Not really ’Hopfig Herb’ I would say. But well..
