A tester.

Orange color with tiny chunks of yeast. Strong hoppy, peppery aroma with hints of honey and blackcurrant. Sweet sugary flavor that hides the alcohol somewhat. Hoppy, citric, peppery and creamy. pear. Beyond the sweetness there is complexity. Tasty beer!

very hazy brownish orange colour, medium sized creamy, slightly beige-ish off-white head; aroma of floral honey, citruses, slight figs and biscuity-caramel notes; taste of honey, earthy and white wine notes, some unripe plum and peppery aftertaste; great saison

Saison-like ale spiced with woodruff - a herb I remember well from my childhood, so I hope this will bring back memories. Starts off nice, with a thick, moussy, sticky, cream white, stable head and deep amber colour with tiny yeast bits floating around, becoming brownishly clouded after adding the deposit. Aroma of caramelly and honeyish malts with indeed an ethereal woodruff perfume not unlike the woodruff liqueur my grandmother used to make, further impressions of candied orange, rhum, candi sugar, aniseed, mint, Belgian chocolates. Smooth, light palate, orange sweetness, caramelly, subtle spiciness, light herbal hoppiness in the finish along with warm, but unfortunately also astringent alcohol and some residual, cloying sweetness. Rather disappointing ending but in all, not bad.

Bottle. It’s an unclear, golden-orange beer topped by a creamy, off-white head. The aroma is quite Belgian, wiht fruityness, a little sugary touch and some yeasty hints. Not much of the peppery spicyness I expect from a saison, and I can’t say the woodruff was detected either. Sweet, fruity flavor with a light saison touch. Soft on the palate, medium bodied, with fruityness and some yeast notes in the finish. A tasteful and easy drinkable beer, but a tad boring I think. 130208

Bottle at Delirium. Medium amber-brown with a low, airy head. Malty nose, caramel, citrus, some barnyard character. Sweet, malty flavor, caramel. Not saison-like IMO, but it is a bit funky, with grass, earth, and a bit of bitterness. OK.

330 ml bottle. Dark golden body with a disappearing off-white head. Aroma of light caramel malt, spices and yeast. Flavour is sweet malt, moderate spicy, hint of caramel and not much bitterness. Medium body and moderate aftertaste. Unusually saison, more like a spicy blond. Decent.
