Cask at Prince of Wales, Farnborough. 24/06/16. Minimal aroma - a vestige of flora, something hazy. Light cold in colour with sparse white head. A sharp taste, with a smooth and not overly carbonated body. Find pilseners pretty boring but is drinkable.

Pours a clear golden color with medium white head. Smell is malty and grassy. Medium body with watery texture. Prickly carbonation. In both taste and aroma it’s typical pilsner, nothing outstanding. Malts, yeast, grassy, a bit of hops and a slightly bitter finish. Overall, ok beer. Nothing outstanding, but nothing wrong with it either. Nice summer refreshment.

On tap at Growler Guys Meridian Light hazy very pale yellow. This wispy quick white head. Classic mild and fairly sweet pils aromas and flavors. A little late noble hop bit but overall light and a little sweet. Pleasant

On tap at growler guys meridian. pours out a pale straw color topped with a white head. nose is corn sweetness grain some grassy hops and a little spice. Taste is is as the nose with a nice light grassy hop some spice and a light sweetness.

Pours pale gold with a somewhat soapy looking head. A lightly malty aroma tinged with fruitiness greets the nose. The initial impressions are otherwise unremarkable. First taste is actually quite pleasant and well balanced - characterized by a rich malty sweetness with plenty of hops bitterness to even things out. The bitterness deepens in the finish, and, while not quite acrid, leaves a stale aftertaste in the mouth that is not particularly pleasant. The palate is medium bodied with no traces of wateriness; the carbonation fairly high. Nothing here to savor, and I could picture it being a decent complement to a BBQ dinner. It is though a beer you will quickly forget.

Gezapft. Gold-gelb klar, sprudelig. Hopfengeruch. Geschmack leicht süßlich, etwas bitter. Belanglos aber nicht unangenehm.

Bottle at a Chinese restaurant on the outskirts of Brentwood, Essex. Pours a clear golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is grassy, floral hops and grain. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Average carbonation, light body, thinnish texture. Decent enough pilsener.

Canette. Nez de malt pâle sucré et légèrement herbeux (gazon) avec des notes de houblon floral. Mince-moyenne en bouche avec un pétillement moyen. Goût de malt pâle croustillant et légèrement sucré lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi d’un goût de malt plus sucré (notes de miel et de maïs sucré) et moyennement herbeux (foin) et finalement une légère amertume de houblon floral vient se rajouter au tout avec une petite touche métallique. Arrière-goût moyen-court, légèrement amer de houblon floral avec quelques notes métalliques. [notes 2006]
