This beer is brewed to enjoy during the cold winter months and long winter nights. Winterbier it a beautiful golden blond beer with a fruity aroma. The beer is, despite it's high ABV, very easy drinking. It has a full, sweet and light bitter aftertaste. Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een kruidige geur. De smaak is moutig, zoet en wat kruidig warm.

Lovely clear deep golden colour, small frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma pale malt, banana, vanilla, butter, coriander, yeast, touch of honey. Taste medium heavy sweet and slightly bitter, malty, alcohol, spicy notes. Sweet aftertaste, boozy, ends with a touch of bitterness, one-dimensional heavy, sip with care.

@Backlog korte oude rating, zonder al teveel specificaties over aroma’s en smaken: zoet/fruitig, moutig en redelijk bittertje, aardig bier.

(Bottle 30 cl) Fully golden with a nice, lacing head. Aromas of both malt and hops. Full-bodied and very sweet with a balancing bitter finish. The strong alcohol is not that well hidden thoug, making this a bit hard to drink. 090501

An orange beer with a fine white head. The aroma is sweet perfumated and yeasty. The flavor is sweet with powerful notes of alcohol and lesser notes of spices. The alcohol is too powerful, which makes it too sweet and makes it burn the tongue in the end.

Gold color, fine lacing. Smells hoppy flowery, bit alcoholic. Bit sweet, hoppy, flowery taste. Lingering alcoholic palate, warming.

Gold colour, clean, beautiful head but not persistent. Smells like a lager (or a strong lager). Warm, rather sweet, alcohol, poor malt, better on the hop side; too much similar to a strong lager with very poor character. No pleasure.

Golden colour. Fruity, malty aroma. Full bodied, rather clean, some raisin flavour. A bit one-dimensional.
