Bottle: slight caramelaroma, buttery pearflavor, slightly hoppy. Tap: sold as Sjefke bier in Café de Nieuwe Roos in Ootmarsum. Stronger caramelaroma, cloudy amber color, pear flavor with a hint of sourness. Medium bodied, but the flavor is a bit on the thin side. The rating is an average.

Bottle [as De Ambacht Lichte Blonde] @ home shared by Inoven. Clear light yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, grainy, weird, green plant like. Not good.

Flesje gedeeld met Tomhendriksen en Benzai. Geel oranje-achtig bier , licht troebel. Aroma en smaak van sinaasappel. Weinig nasmaak.

Backlog (2010?). Slightly hazy dark golden colour, small frothy off-white head, disappears quickly. Aroma sweet malty, caramel, citrus. Medium sweetbitter taste, light sour touch, bit watery. Medium body, watery to oily texture, sweetbitter aftertaste. Indeed nice with mussels!

Tasted at 10 years of age at the Kulminator. Typical Belgian blonde in that it tries to mimick a pale lager whilst being top-fermented and apparently intended to accompany mussels. Rocky and moussy, thick head, peach blonde, orangey colour. Malty, nutty, dried fruits, grassy hop bitterness; close to a Belgian amber ale (spéciale belge). I would rather suggest geuze or even witbier as an accompaniment to mussels with French fries, though.

Clear pale orange beer, aery irregular white head, unstable, bit adhesive. aroma: some vanilla, lots of caramel, bit oxidized, biscuit, bready touch. MF: ok carbon, light body. Taste: bit of caramel, little bitter, cardboard, bit sweet. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, bit watery, caramel, soft oxidation flavours, sugary ending.

Bottle. bb 05/07/09. Pours light amber with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, cooked, caramel. Near medium body with rather frothy carbonation. Flavor is cooked caramel, but not sickeningly sweet. Hop is minimal. It’s drinkable.
