Can picked up from Drankgigant.nl webshop, Vlissingen, Netherlands and consumed at home Sunday 3rd August 2025 listening to our Ulmobstfest Playlist we're baking again as weather is just frequent showers on and off I've finished the Chocolate and Red Gooseberry Brownies started yesterday, Loz has made Blackberry Cookies and is sorting out her sourdough again. This is a little bit disappointing, certainly not as fresh and spiky as I'd hoped and really missing a trick on the bitterness, depth of flavour and crispness, all of which are sadly lacking. Soft mouthfeel, a little thin, a touch of sweetness, some spicy hops, all told it is not my thing.

Can, 6.2%. Refreshing grassy and caramelly hop aroma. Hazy golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is fruity and grassy with low to medium bitterness. Teaish and watery finish. A bit thin flavour for the ABV. Smells better than it tastes.

Kees' 'basic' IPA, hopped with three hop varieties - but alas, and contrary to what is custom in craft brewing, the can fails to mention which ones, probably because they change from time to time... Can from the new Jumbo supermarket in Ghent. Quite thick and frothy, moussey, membrane-lacing, egg-white, regular head on a hazy yellow blonde beer with vague apricot tinge. Aroma of freshly minced lemongrass, lime blossom and - even stronger - lime zest, wood sorrel or giant hogweed juice, flour, pink grapefruit, freshly cut stinging nettles in spring, cold nettle soup even, raw black radish (outspoken!), horseradish paste, freshly mown lawn, pomelo, green plum, dry raw cereals. Hop-fruity onset, lots of lime (yet without the sourness), pomelo (dito) and lemongrass with notes of unripe mango and pepino, lively carbonated certainly for a hazy IPA, with minerally effects; smooth and lean cereally core continuously soaked in hoppy 'greenness' reminiscent of unripe mango, lemongrass, lime zest and, again, raw radish, with a peppery 'sting' to it. This 'sting' turns into a grassy, 'green' and crisp end bitterness, while sultry tropical aromas, though noticeable, remain in the background. Due to the strong carbonation, minerally effects persist too, even strongly accentuating the sourness - in fact, there is so much minerality going on here that I think it kind of 'redraws' the tropical effects that were actually intended (some sources mention papaya but I really did not get that particular fruit here, for instance). Yet, for what is essentially a 'supermarket beer' at least the way I bought it, this is obviously crafty and tasty, even surprising in its vivid 'grassiness' - but I do not expect anything less from mister Bubberman, of course... NEIPA in its most 'green' form, so at least the colour of the can is 'in sync' with the flavour of the beer. Original even considering its context, and enjoyable, if you can obtain it fresh enough.

Can 33cl. from a local Dekamarkt @home poured into a tekuglass. Hazy deep golden colour, huge rocky off-white head, slowly diminishing, patchy lacing. Aroma pale malt, tangerine, peach, pine resin, grassy hops. Taste medium sweet and below medium bitter, malty, grapefruit, tangerine, pine resin, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation, rather short semi-dry sweetbitter aftertaste, resinous notes, fruity fellow, very nice.

Can. Bit hazy dark golden. Caramel, sweet malts, spruce, lime zest, grassy. Quite green hoppy with a solid malt base. Decent beer. --- Beer aliased from original tick of IPA on 22 Sep 2023 at 18:16 - Score: Appearance - 7 | Aroma - 7.5 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 7 | Overall - 8. Original review text: Can. Hazy golden. Spruce, grapefruit, pineapple, grassy. There’s a crisp malty backbone with some oats and wheat. Medium sweet and bitter and medium bodied. Quite nice, it has a bit of everything and is fairly priced.

Shortlived transparant head over hazy chromate yellow beer. Floral, citrussy & fruity hops; faint ureum, pineapple. Fruity flavour, mainly grapefruit. Hint of maple syrup. Faintly peppery, spicy hops. Medium bodied, hopoily feel; good carbonation. Decent IPA. Txs to Joren for bringing
