(33cl bottle) Hazy, ruby coloured hue with a short light-beige foamy head. Sweet and strong spicy nose with notes of anise, coriander and thyme on a lighter toast-malty background with caramel, chocolate and alcohol. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Toast-malty, slightly fruity (dried prunes, raisins) with caramel and again early arriving spicy accents; sweet, strong malty, slightly toasty and fruity finish with a lasting spicy (liquorice) and almost ethereal (thyme) aftertaste. A bit to spicy for my kind of taste, but anyway a well-done and interesting “Bock”.

Dark amber-red color, huge beige cloudy head, lace. Ginger and cranberries in the nose. Sourish, berry-like flavor, some spices (ginger) also in the flavor. Same time a bit thin. Warming aftertaste. Quite odd bock.

Tap, Kafe Belgie. Cloudy nutbrown color, medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, toffee, bit strawberry cream. Creamy taste, slight sweet, thick, bit yeasty, nutty and malty. Not as sharp and sweet malty as other bock beers, but more toffee and nutty. Quite ok.
