While the Whisky is definitely present in aroma and taste, it doesn’t prevail the basis of the Grom nor is it too boozy for an 13% Barrel Aged Stout. Just the way we like it.
If you are a fan of our barrel aged series, you will
devour the Grom Highlander as well.

Bottle. Color: Black, thin brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, Whisky, boozy, peaty hints. Taste: Whisky is overwhelming the base beer a bit, but not in a disturbing way. Boozy, Whisky, subtle peaty and vanilla, hints of dark dried fruit, some coffee, molasses, roasted malt and dark chocolate, umami. Full body, below average carbonation. Over moderate to medium sweet, over moderate bitterness. A bit unbalanced but a very nice slow sipper overall.
