Can 44cl. @home poured into a pint glass. Colour is pitch black with a ruby hue, good creamy tan head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma roasted malt, caramel, cocoa, coffee. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, toffee, brown sugar. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, smooth malty sweetbitter aftertaste, light spicy notes, more bitterness in the finish, alcohol well hidden, easy to drink, good.

Opaque deep brown to black. Small beige head. Roasted & toasted, chocolate & coffee, esters, brandy, floral hop. Dense and balanced. Fun to drink.

440ml can at home. Inky black pour with a medium to thin tan head. Nose is dark chocolate and toffee with a hint of vanilla. Flavour is mild roasted notes, dark chocolate and vanilla, toffee sweetness. No booze at all, easy drinker, muted tones.

Black with dark creamy head. Aroma has dark, roasted malts almost smokey. Dark malt and dark chocolate taste. Rich and silky.

Keg at L Mulligan Grocer, Dublin, 26/01/23. Black with a good sized lasting tan head. Nose is roast malts, fruit cake mix, chocolate, spice, booze tunes. Taste comprises dark malts, spice, chocolate, charr, toffee, earthy. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with a balanced warming boost. Solid old skool leaning adjunct free impy stout.
