375mL bottled 1-23-2022, drunk 5/14/24. Clear, bright cherry. Quick pink head to ring. Very spicy with a bit of mineral and a bit of mint and a touch medicinal. Gets round in the end with dainty sugar. There's a deep funk, as well. The cherries show excellent expression. Earthy and funky with good pepper and tart cherry. Brett and light lactic acid. Good texture, not too oaky, nor sweet. Very malolactic finish. A very well-done schaarbeekse kriek through and through.

Bottle, 375 ml, shared with kajser27, MiroB, Max and Luka. Ruby with white head. Some funk, nice cherries, some berries, medium+ sourness. Medium bodied.

Beautiful clear, deep Burgundy red beer, with a fast gone pink rim. Fruitaroma's and indeed, cinnamon. Kind of male perfume, aftershave. Lactic acid, fruitacids, bit phenolid. And again cinnamon, but nowhere overwhelming. Lots of cherry - not unlike Schaarbeekse. Acidburn and -thinning, bit dry-out effect. Quite interesting (seen the wild sweet cherries, as well as the classic combination cinnamon-cherry, but not frequently done in beer) and nice.

Poured from 750mL bottle (2021 vintage). Clear ruby red with small off white head. Cherry, some pit, leaning toward the thinner side, no cinnamon detectable. Okay.

One in this still young and growing lambic project run by a namesake of the old Eylenbosch brewery in Schepdaal – but otherwise there are no connections, business-wise or other. Using cinnamon and sweet cherries rather than the much more common sour cherries, this could be a very wintery lambic indeed. Thin and open, snow white, loose head leaving a thin membrane, hazy ruby red robe with vaguely brownish-mahogany tinge. Aroma of cherry vinegar and sour cherries rather than sweet ones, redcurrant, lemon juice, green apple, dry wood, sweat, rhubarb, cinnamon only vaguely detectable when warming up, unusual ‘minty’ notes of basil or peppermint leaf. Crisp acidic onset, very lemony, puckering with again much more a sour cherry ‘tang’ rather than sweet cherry juiciness – cherry vinegar, of the kind I had a bottle of some months ago, springs to mind again; hints of redcurrant, sorrel and crabapple, fizzy carb accentuating the sharp sourness. Drying middle, lactic and lemony effects, lots of cherry skin tannins supporting the wood over a slender cereally core; cinnamon again remains very subtle, apart from that faint and brief minty aspect which may be related to it. Ends sharply lemony to cherry-vinegary, the dryness and astringency strongly amplified by cherry skin and cherry pit tannins. I agree with some of the below comments that this one is too sharp in acidity for what it promises and does not deliver enough ‘sweet cherry’ – with even less of that warming, spicy cinnamon being noticeable; in spite of not entirely delivering on its promise, though, it still remains a well-made, well-structured and refreshing lambic with probably some interesting ageing potential for at least a year or so.

Hazy purple red colour, foam disappears quickly. Fruity nose of red fruit, lemon, vinegar. Taste isn't very fruity, very acidic, a bit metallic, no cinnamon detectable. Not very nice. Onedimensional tart and acetic.

Clear deep red colour with thin head. Aroma of farmyard funk and red fruits. Taste of sweet and sour cherry. Luckily no cinnamon detectable.

cBottle. Color: Hazy dark red, pink head. Aroma: Dark Cherry, cinnamon hints, wood. Taste: Dark moderate tart and light to moderate sweet cherries, cinnamon notes, notes of oak wood, tannins. Hay and lemon notes too. Dry mouthfeel. Hints of wild yeast funk. Just over medium body, below average carbonation. Cinnamon is a nice, unusual addition but it doesn't work out that well for me. Still quite nice overall.

Bottle at the brewery. Pours a cloudy dark ruby with small pink head that lasts. The aroma is cherry kernel, earth, floral. Slick body, cherry skin, earth, nice tartness, enjoyed this.
