Ein typisch fränkisches Pils in frischem Gelb mit cremig-weißem, feinporigen Schaum. Schon in der Nase stechen die grasig-grünen Hopfennoten hervor. Im Antrunk erst spritzig-rezent, zeigt sich sogleich der Hopfen mit schönem frischen, leicht zitrusartigen Aroma. Das Weiherer Pils behält diese Noten bis zum Schluss und klingt mit angenehmer Bittere feinherb aus. Typisch. Fränkisch. Weiherer Pils.

0,5 flaske fra Åsa Landhandleri, delt med Einar: klar gylden med ok skum. Pikant aroma og smak med barskog og urter i en tiltalende maltkropp. Crisp as a cracker og med mer enn et hint av mersmak.

0.5 l bottle from 'Bierothek' (online), best before November 2024. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, gently grassy-spicy and moderately fruity-floral aroma of grains, lemon peel and some fresh grass. Slightly sweet, relatively malty, moderately bitter, gently grassy-spicy and a bit fruity-floral taste of grains, lemon peel and some straw, followed by a short, gently bitter, a bit dry finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Cracking Pils, nicely grassy and crisp, great balance.

Appearance: Clear pale gold with a large white frothy head. Aroma and taste: Crackers, lemon, herbs. Pretty dry, Medium ending bitterness. Mouth feel: Light to medium body, soft to average carbonation. Summary: An elite Pilsner.

500 ml bottle from a supermarket in Bamberg. Almost clear golden with a fluffy head. Grassy hops, lemon, honey, grain and hay, malt, some lard, some metal. Grassy hoppy bitterness, some sweetness. Medium bodied, oily watery texture, lively carbonated, dry grassy hoppy malty finish. An okay Pils.

Flaska från Bierothek. Gyllengul klar vätska med högt vitt skum. Mjuk maltig rund och fyllig. Fruktig sötma, svarta vinbärsblad, hö, te, lätt beska, torr och krispig avslutning. Weiherer levererat igen. Mycket gott

Bottle at Ambasada with Hrabren last Sunday at the pre-bus German lager tasting. Honey and light citric aroma. Lean taste, soft and honeyish, grainy slightly, very much lacking hoppiness for anything that should call itself a pils, but not a bad beer. Will hopefully rerate this and the Landbier at some point, hopefully fresh on tap.
