Location: Draft at Hop Devil, 5/3/10

Aroma: The aroma has some notes of other fruits to go along with the blueberry, wheat, and some earth
Appearance: Pours a mostly clear copper color with a fairly small white head
Flavor: Sweet blueberry flavor, but not overwhelming like some blueberry beers, slightly tart, some earth hop
Palate: It has a fairly light body with a moderate carbonation, and an alright feel on the mouth
Overall Impression: For a fruit (specifically blueberry) beer, I thought this one was quite solid. I'm not a huge fan of the style, but when the fruit is subtle enough, and the taste is not overly sweet, I can give them solid marks. This one falls into that category, due to the tart and earthy hop notes giving the fruity sweetness just enough balance.

If it weren’t for the very pleasant blueberry pie aroma, this one would rate about a 2.6. It looks like a Bud Light. Taste is simple blueberry malts. Rated 10/17/03

Courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours pale gold with thin white head. The aroma is pure blueberry extract with little else going on. The carbonation enhanced flavor is just like the nose with loads of blueberry sugary syrup sweetness. All blueberry.

Draft and they put 3 actual blueberries in bottom of glass. Not bad not all that special. Reminded me of a Bud Light that played in a blueberry patch

Pours pale yellow into a tumbler. Bright white head with good retention slowly recedes leaving sheet lacing. Blueberry, bread and funk aromas. Blueberry muffin from front to back. Crisp bread finish.

Bottled. Clear deep golden. Sweaty blueberry aroma. Medium sweet and medium bodied with clean rounded mouthfeel. Correct and flawless, but also dull and pointless.

A lightly hazed golden ale with a thick white head. A pleasant blueberry pulp in aroma, with light lactic points. In mouth, a rather short beer, with blueberry remaining, but rather chemical. A bit cloying, but refreshing.

12 oz bottle. Poured macro-yellow with some lacing. Aroma is present - very sweet blueberry. Taste is blueberry but dies out in the end. It doesnt give of a syrupy taste but doesnt fall into that real blueberries area either. On a 90 degree day (such as today) I probably appreciate it a lot more than in December.

Brigth and shiny gold, no head, bubbly. I wont waste server space in going on about it. Just another case of focusing on the adjunct element and forgetting about the beer. Yep, tastes like blueberries, where's the beer flavor?
