Copper color, big long lasting frothy head. Malty, slightly hoppy aroma with boiled milk. Hopbitter flavor with chichory, melon and boiled milk. Full of flavor, but not clean, and logically below average.

Als “Kellerbier“ auf dem Hannla-Keller bei Oberhaid. - Im Steinkrug serviert. - In der Nase frischer zitrusfruchtiger Hopfen, leichte Butter (Diacetyl), schnapsige Züge. - Im Antrunk schlanke, blaß herbe Zitronenschale. Leicht strohiges helles Malz. Im Abgang mehr Zitronenschale und ein deutlicher, leicht scharfer Anflug von Spülmittel - entweder schlecht gehopft oder im schlecht gespülten Krug serviert. Schroff bitterer Nachtrunk. - Trinkbar aber kein Genuß. Der Blick vom Keller entschädigt dafür ...

Bottled. Hazy deep amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is herbal, slight sour fruity as well as wooden. Flavour is the same along with both caramel malts and some bready notes as well. A bit diacetylic as well.

From the barrel at the Hannla Keller, on the road between Dorfleins and Oberhaid. Ceramic mug. Not much head. The aroma is slightly herbal, but also buttery. Light, buttery. Sort of crisp, but also sort of thin. Not the best example.

Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Hazy, small and lacy foamy layer, deep golden to light amber coloured, juicy malty nose with a barnyardy touch and a good, distinctive touch of hops; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, low carbonation; short, bitter-fruity-malty finish. A pleasant, average franconian beer, superb by german standards.......
