Crafted using essentially the same recipe since 1926. This beer is bright medium yellow in colour with aromas and flavours of green apple and cereal grain with a light herbal hoppy note. Light-bodied with a crisp, clean finish; perfect for grilled shrimp on garlic flatbread or serve it with aged white cheddar.

Moi aussi j’ai été attiré par le look de la cannette. Ça sent la levure lager , les céréales et le foin. Mais ça sent le commercial et le sirop de maïs. D’une limpidité remarquable, le liquide doré pâle développe une mousse épaisse et crémeuse qui persiste assez longtemps. L’effervescence et l’insipidité marquent l’entrée de bouche sur une finale légèrement herbacée et céréalière. On goûte pas mal le sirop de maïs et les adjuvants chimiques. Bière commerciale sans intérêt. À la limite du buvable.

Enjoyed at Hard Luck Bar in Toronto, ON while my band was playing. Didn’t take tasting notes, didn’t need to...below average lager that did the trick for the night. Say no more.

355 ml can. Pours a pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma of corn and grass. Flavour is pale malt with corn syrup. Light body with watery texture and soft carbonation. This stuff was so bad I actually poured most of it down the drain.

This pils poured a clear light yellow with a big bright white head. Scents include corn, eggs and cream. First swig was very watery with light malt flavours and a hint of hops. Finish is lightly bitter with a malty corn flavour lingering.

Pale greenish-yellow color. dry, weak, a bit crispy, with rather low bitterness, and some sweeteners in the final.

Big fucken canned @ home, courtesy of BlackIPA. BLACKIPA is GodoftheMolsonCellar. Cheers John! Pours a clear golden appearance with a big white head. Smells like MGD with some lemon. Pretty watery and corny. Tastes like Molson brewed an MGD-clone which ain’t too fucken bad if you’re a Pale Lager connoisseur like myself.

Can: Poured a light golden color pilsner with a nice pure white foamy head. Aroma of lightly sweet malt based with light cereal notes. Taste is also dominated by lightly sweet adjunct notes with light cereal notes and light sweet finish. Body is light with good carbonation. This was not as bad as I had expected but it is still a pretty bland offering.

Had to wait for the plane at the Calgary airport and found the Molson Brewhouse. Went inside and discovered this beer (which is no where to be found in eastern Canada). Loved the old school label, so had this. Poured a golden colour with a big fluffy slightly warm head that is long lasting and has decent lace. Grainy nose with a little hop. The mouthfeel is not bad, kind of dry and crisp. Medium-bodied. Again, grainy taste with some corn and a bit of hop in the finish. Slightly truer to a North-American pils than Labatt Blue. Not a bad swill.

This beer always appears at house parties and it screams "too cheap to buy something that doesn’t taste like crap" to whomever bought it. Sour and foul, a lot like urine, way too yellow even for a Pils. Naturally these should be "shotgunned" rather than poured in a glass to enjoy the proper experience! 3/1/3/2/4 Re-rate October 29, 2015: It’s been at least a decade and a half since I tried this one, so it’s time for a re-rate of this ever-present pilsner in the west of Canada. Famously featured in the Fubar films, this is a regional staple for better or worse, with fine can art that makes you really think like you’re back in Germany.... or you’re stuck in a cheap velvet painting of what Germany should look like (sans refugees and all the rest). Poured warm into a glass there’s this bubbly-type white stuff that I suppose is mean to look like head but disappears too fast to really pontificate on it - there’s a boring yellow colour and more carbonation than a 7-Up with a pack of Tums thrown in it. The aroma is metal and sugar with a hint of lemon. Flavour is metal and cardboard with a tangy citrus finish. Really thin on the mouth, no texture at all. This is in fact bad stuff, far worse than I remember, perhaps that’s my palate maturing, or perhaps this stuff always sucked and I had memories of rednecks punching each other out to boost the flavour.
