LCRBM2: Smoky aroma, like smoked ham. Smoked flavor. Brewed with whisky malt??? Didn’t taste it really, it was more like the Weyermann malt from Bamberg. Tropical fruit, especially citrus give a firm contraweight to the smokiness. Perfect balance. Lovely beer!

Dull hazy tan. Smokey, but also with burnt electrical cord. Smoke flavour, with some light malt. This doesn’t really come together - when was it last made I wonder?

WSF 2009. Cloudy amber with a small white head. Aroma of caramel and malt, with some peat-like phenols. Sweet and malty, slightly smokey flavour.

33cl bottle @ W.O.S.F. 3 year old bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with a creamy bubbly head. Nose is bread, fruit and yeast. Taste is heavily smoked - peat malt, sausage, bacon. Way too heavy for my liking. Medium to thin palate.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is smoked and hoppy. Very pleasant. Flavour is smoked, hoppy and malty. One of the first times a Belgian has been really smoked...

Bottle @ 16th Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation 2007, Opstal. Unclear yellow orange color with a small fizzy fair lacing white to off-white head. Aroma is smoke, smoked meat, light malty. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Not my kind of beer ! :o -

Bottled. A murky orange beer with no head. The aroma is smoky with some weird spicy notes. The flavor is malty with an acidic note, combined with notes of smoke, and the body is thin.

Test vom 30.5.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,10,10,13,-,12 - 11,42

LCRBM2. Cloudy orange gold colour. Ashtray smoke and chemical aroma. It does get better in the mouth, but I thought that this was nasty.
