Ya want me to say something about this. Yeah, I see this is retired. Ho-hum, yeah, I’ve had this when it wasn’t retired. Here goes.
Okay, into a pint glass and a snifter (oh yeah, two bottles, here we go).
The appearance was a decent looking hazy burnt orange to brown color with a decent looking one finger foamy head that leads to a fairly sticking lacing.
The smell had a decent sweet malty to somewhat citrusy hoppy aroma rolling all around my nose and misleading me to an extent to try to invade a sort of bitter hoppiness. Does it? Ha, I’m actually not mislead, as for the most part, its not.
The taste is fairly sweet through the malts and there really isn’t much malty sweetness at all. The aftertaste and finish, ah, well, its not there whatsoever.
On the palate, this one sits at/about a fairly light to medium with a somewhat sessionable sort of quality running about the mouth and tongue. The carbonation is there, its not misleading as it shows a decent sharpness but its nothing overbearing.
Overall, kinda glad I can get Schmaltz in SE Alaska, weird, but okay, I’ll never understand distro in this nation, but if anything okay, not a bad brew. Worthy of having again, sure will, I’d check into this. Cheers y’all.

pours amber, off-white head aroma is malty, caramel sweetness, hops is present mixed with some spices. flavor, caramel malts, light fruit bitterness, good malt balance but keeps a tad of the hops spices quickly followed by light fruit tartness of the pomegranate. Finish had the same mouthfeel of pomegranate as the other He’Brew beer, just a little more of everything but not my fruit of choice. Ever after 3 years, the tartness was detectable, did not mellow out and the malt finish lingers a little behind.

22 ounce bottle from Kybecca in Fredericksburg, VA. Pours a hazy orange-bronze color with a few spots of head that linger on top of the beer. Aroma is faint with notes of toffee, buts and a tannic fruitiness from the pomegranate. Taste is caramel, toffee, coconut, nuts, pomegranate, berries, leafy notes. A very slight hint of oxidation, but not bad. Medium bodied.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet and totally dominated by over ripe fruit. The flavor is sweet wtih strong notes of fresh fruit as well as lots of hops, somewhat of a hop soup, leading to a dry bitter finish. The alcohol burns slightly in the top of the throat.

Blind tasting at Papsoes place, another great session, thanks Henrik! Beer #3: Pours hazy orange with a fully diminished white head. Orange and grapefruit aroma, light woody dry note. Flavour is sweet and light acidic. Sweet caramel malt and a mild liqourice hops note lurking through. Goes into a dry and light woody finish. A bit too sweet for my liking.
