Bottle thanks to JMFP and the Payne Train. Pours orange gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is citrus, wood, funky, vinous. Slick body, funky, wood, citrus, nice tartness, enjoyed this.

LCRBM2: Caramel and citrus in the strong aroma. Very strong lemon and grapefruit flavor. An upcoming sourness hides the obvious hop character. Lemon and sour cream in the aftertaste. What a taste bomb!

Bottle. Clear dark yellow/brownish pour with a fleeting white head. Big malt and vinous bouquet. Really mellow with vinous notes dominating. Malt, oak, and vanilla undercurrents. Slight oxidation but not bad at all. It’s certainly not as tart as other batches. Side by side with batch 6 and there is a stark difference.

Hazy gold beer. Dry crisp palate. Very sour beer, just the right side of total lemon juice. - ie just about drinkable. A small amount of woodiness provides some relief. Not for me thanks.

Thanks to boboski for opening this brew. Pours golden to copper with thin white head. The aroma is a smack in the face with sour tart notes and oak planks covered with lemon juice. The taste starts out like the aroma with a load of tartness laced with a ribbon of sweetness. The oak enters at the roof of my mouth. Then I get salt covered olives chased with lemon rind and musk. Interesting.
