Hazy amber colour, creamy white foam. Nose of banana, some citrus, fruity notes. Taste is sweet, lots of banana, wheat. Good!

Bottle from Base Camp. Misty amber body with a lasting, thick off-white head. Sweetish caramel malty base in the aroma with a huge banana ester presence. Caramel drives the taste, banana esters show up as well, very sweet. More caramel in the taste than in the aroma. Dry herbal notes, off yeasty, meaty touches. Just okay overall.

Orange redbrown color, hazy, almost no head. Malty flavor with banana, just a hint of cherry. Somewhat alcoholic, but hidden by the malty sweetness. Hint of glue. Medium to full bodied. A bit low on aroma, but a fine taste and a lovely warming, yet refreshing beer. Tasted again in jan 2012. Amber color, hazy. Banana and tangerine in the aroma. Mandarine curacao. Sharp and alcoholic flavor with banana and tangerine notes. Sticky mouthfeel. Banana sweeties in the aftertaste. Earlier rating is well deserved.

500ml bottle from Otdokhni in Moscow. Pours hazy gold with a tall white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, some wheat. Taste is slightly sour, paper, fruit, toffee, a little boozey. Pretty mediocre.

0.5 l bottle from ’CraftBeer-Dealer.com’, best before October 2017. Murky, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, very yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity aroma of lots of clove, banana, some vanilla pear. Slightly sweetish, rather yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity taste of lots of clove, banana, honey, vanilla and pear, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, a little sourish and very yeasty-spicy finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Tasty, satisfying, classic and clove-forward Weizenbock. Not the best I’ve ever had, but the low score is a bit surprising.

Dark orange colour, very hazy. Average head, not too big for the style, decent retention and lacing. Aroma has strong banana, bubblegum sweetness and slight clove. Taste follows the aroma with a very sweet (even for the style) bubblegum base, banana and a bit of clove. Only the slightest hint of acidity to compensate for sweetness. Medium body, soft and slightly lower than style average carbonation. Actually a bit thin of a mouthfeel for a weizenbock and also slightly chewy. Overall it’s drinkable but definitely not that worth

500ml Bottle - Hazy amber with a foamy head. Bread, grain, sultanas and hints of peach and banana in the aroma. Sultanas, banana, peach, apricot and caramel in the taste.

Bottle. Pours a nice orange-brown color, slightly hazy, with a thick white head. Sweet and fruity nose with notes of orange, clove and bakers yeast. Taste is a bit underwhelming compared to the nose. It lacks in power and resembles a regular hefe with its mild spiciness and banana notes. A OK example of a beer style that I really like.

*Old rating. Best before 14.09.07. Fruchtig-hefiges Bier. Die 7% sind spürbar, aber nicht negativ. Tiefe Hefe, vergorene Banane, rund und weich im Nachgeschmack. Lecker!
