Fles, Bäst före 16/12/2025, da's alvast niet gelukt. Kleur is vrijwel zwart, een dikke beige schuimkraag zakt maar heel langzaam in. Geur van geroosterde mout, roggebrood, toast, iets donkere chocola en rood fruit. Retronasaal veel roast, wat zoetigheid, chocola, koffie, iets rood fruit. Smaak is zoetig, iets umami/drop en geroosterde bitterheid. Lichte tot medium body. Afdronk is flink geroosterd/gebrand met toenemende bitterheid. Ik hou ervan. Maar is het nou Imperial Stout of Export Stout?

Bottle at home. Opaque black color, full sized dense beige to tan head. Aroma is malts, roast. Flavor is malts, roast, brown malts, roasty bitter, bitter. Hmm not very spectacular but alright overall. 8-6.5-6.5-7-7

Bottle two months before bbd. Pours black, with a big creamy mocha head. Aroma is dark roasted malts with bread, coffee,caramel, cocoa and muscovado, as well as vanilla, honey, tannins and wooden minerals. Creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts with coffee, cocoa nibs, burned sugar and liquorice, as well as honey and wooden minerals.

Tap at Borefts. Black with tan head. Huge roast, chocolate, dry coffee, blackberries, earthy, soft licorice. Medium sweet, more bitter. Over medium bodied. Nice.

330ml bottle. Opaque, quasi black colour with average to huge, thick, dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Roasty, slightly chocolately, dark malty and minimally grassy, hoppy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, mocha, hints of roasted coffee beans, a minimally grainy touch of coffee surrogate, black bread, pumpernickel. Taste is bitter, roasty dark malty and bitter hoppy, slightly caramel malty with subtle residual sweetness, notes of dark chocolate, burnt caramel, some coffee, caramel, pumpernickel, a touch of toffee.
Oily texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium, dense, foamy, mildly prickly carbonation.
Clean, condensed, focussed, fairly meaty, simultaneously relatively drinkable (and in a way more "natural") compared to all those double digit abv Impy Stouts - pretty good.
