Can at the July DC RB mini-tasting. Poured a hazy yellow color with a small off-white head. Aroma was citrus, mango notes. Light sweet hops. Mangoes, pineapple, orange juice. Really juicy, really tasty.

On tap at Other Half, pours a cloudy bright golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of leafy green hops, along with moderate dankness and some citrus. Flavour brings out dank hops galore, with lots of leafy green hops, some light pot, and pith. Not really getting any cabbage, as per the name. Just another beautifully done IIPA.

Canned 1/4/18, drunk 2/10/18.
Pale, bronze-brass soup. White head fades to cover.
Soft mango-lime with typical OH and New England IPA notes of juice and honey, light dough and rich biscuit. Gets twangy though, with heavy papaya-peach and light pine.
In the mouth it's soft and dry but has too much twang, as the aroma suggests, with lots of grapefruit, as well. The bitter, fruity lime and mango makes a good expression but ultimately the twangy, bready character falls a bit short of impressive. Low but engaging carbonation, low resin and little alcohol apparent.

Canned dated 1-4-18. Grapefruit juice appearance. Aroma is bold juice but... sugar with the grapefruit. The aroma is juice but the flavor is a complete IPA. Grapefruit to boot! Bold, long lasting grapefruit with a bold bitterness. Kind of smells better than it tastes.

Draught at the source: pours yellow with a white head. Opaque yellow of course. Aroma is fruity and very spicy. Taste is spicy and sharp and pretty sweet. Nice sharp bitter notes. Quite good.

Cabbage certainly is the vibe here. Way heavy on vegetable matter like vegan diets. Murky yellow pour with no head, some lacing. Light bitter finish. Body not huge. Tap at brewery.

Can bought @ fermentoren. Very hazy deep yellow pour with a frothy white head. Subdued dank nose with supporting pineapple & star fruit tropical fruits & white bread malts. Sweet, tiny bitter, fruity & grassy taste. Soft & round mouthfeel. Not very complex but overall very tasty & dangerously easy drinking. Pleasant dankness & tropical fruits. --- Beer merged from original tick of Double Dry Hopped Cabbage on 21 May 2017 at 21:02 - Score: 9.
