Cask at the Head of Steam, Birmingham. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grainy malt, buttery yeast, light grassy, tropical citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter sweet, with a crisp, malty, juicy citrus, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask. Shakespeare’s, Sheffield. Murked up pale gold. Messy white foam. Nose has stone fruit hop. Wheat. Hint of pine. A curious rubbery note to this, too. Taste is light, fruity bitterness. Light spice. Light to medium body. Fine carbonation. Light bitter finish. Ok, albeit a little tired maybe.

Friday 1st Feb 2019; 7th Pre-Brugge Bier Festival International Beer Swap, De Bierboom. This is one of the many cans that landed on my table for me to try, it is OK to take a decent sized sample (within reason) because there are so many beers to share. Canned, poured a hazy golden brown, decent white crown. The nose and taste are Grapefruit led citrus fruitiness, leaning more towards bitterness than tropical fruit sweetness.

Cask at the Merchant - Canary Wharf, London. Pours murky gold with a frothy, pure white head. Pretty thick, lots of pulpy citrus juice, a vague gingery note, soft bitter lemon rind. Light bodiednwith fine carbonation; so so condition. More citrus juice in the finish. Not bad.
