Optisch rotorange-kupferfarben und klar. Die elfenbeinfarbene, feinporige Schaumkrone zeigt sich dabei flaumig und gut haltbar. Duftnoten von Brot und hellem Karamell dominieren in der Nase. Gut würzige Hopfennoten wirken dazu ergänzend und harmonisch. Der Antrunk kommt frisch spritzig, süßlich-herb, brotig, karamellig, toastig, aber auch gut würzig. Im Mundgefühl zeigen sich ein mäßig voller Körper, passende Rezenz, eine seidige bis leicht samtige Textur und ein leichter Hang zur Süße, jedoch mit gut balancierter, leichter Trockenheit. Geschmacklich und aromatisch setzen sich die malzigen Noten von Brot, hellem Karamell und Toasting fort. Eine deutlich würzige, aber kaum herbe oder gar bittere Hopfenaromatik wirkt leicht ausgleichend dageben. Das ergibt ein relativ überschaubares, aber sehr rundes und harmonisches Gesamtbild, welches eine absolut gute Trinkbarkeit zur Folge hat. Im Nachtrunk wirken die brotigen, karamelligen und leicht toastigen Malznoten mit der würzigen Hopfenaromatik ganz gut nach und klingen in einer sehr zarten, trockenen Hopfenherbe aus.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear amber with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of light toffee and light spice. Taste is more of the same. Thin finish.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is sweet barley malt, caramel, and notes of straw. Flavour is sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. I mostly get sweet malts from this underwhelming Märzen.
