(Bottle 50 cl) Bronze coloured and slightly hazy. Small head, low carbonation. Very delicate hop aroma, from no less than three different hops. Hoppy throughout but not overpoweringly so - there’s a solid malty base underneath. A delicious beer. (Funny to see how the Yanks consider this a mildly hopped beer! Well, your scene is a different one.) 250103

Draught
Slightly hazy yellow, small creany head. Flowey, slightly sweeiths hoppy nose. Good malty background with attacking hops. Some sweetness underlying in the bitter aftertaste.

This forms a tall white head that rises high above a clear, deep amber beer. Citrus, a bit of pine, and some honey in the background, make up the aroma that comes easily from this beer. Slightly sweet on the front, some hops come on in the middle, and it finishes long and dry. Very well balanced and drinkable. Thanks to Madsberg for this excellent brew!

Draught. Golden colour. Not as bitter as it used to be, hint of sweetness. Aftertaste a little more bitter than the first impression lets on.

Cloudy golden. Sweaty, foresty, berryish hop aroma. Dusty palate with a good dose of bitterness.

Lemony and pine aroma-notes. Cloudy golden, very big head. Pine/cascade flavor, but well-balanced and not overwhelming, yeasty notes as well. Dry herbal bitter-hop exit. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. A truly delicious brew.

Bottled: Slightly cloudy golden body with a creamy big, lasting head. Very strong aroma with some yeast, hay, lemon peel, roses. The flavour is a unique mix of bitterness and acidity. The aftertaste is a mix of roses and a long lasting bitterness. A truly wonderful beer. Add: The same can be said for the draught version... Re-rate: Over the years, this beer has lost some of its original power. Plus, I’m less impressed now than I was when this was more or less my first ever IPA. Fine malt backbone, but especially the aroma lacks hops.

Pale orange, very slight haze, yellowish head, fast gone. Odour of freshly picked hops, very flowery & fruity, and cigar smoke. Taste is again strong but noble hoppiness combined with cigar (very outspoken flavour - funny but quite pleasing). Light to medium bodied. No new aftertaste; the main taste slowly eases out, leaving some bitterness. This is maybe what British brewers ought to look at to reshape their draught IPA. All the good points of a best bitter, with a bitterness seldom a Brit dares to achieve - but without any WestCoast excesses. Many thanks Martin & Jacob.

Amber/orange color, somewhat hazy with lots of sediments. Huge Duvel-ish head. Wonderful aroma of sun-ripe oranges, love it! The flavor is all hops, a tad soapy but it's a great beer anyway.

One of the very best danish beers. It is almost orange but doesn"t have much head. It has a slight aroma of oranges. It has a smooth feel in the mouth as IPA"s often have. It has a good sweetness and a good hoppy bitternes yet not as much as other IPA"s (Harpoons for example) - it also has a fruity flavor. All in all a great beer that I drink as often as I"m around a bar that serves it.
