The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Darker than exspected. Tastes strong, "bocky", modest malty, not very sweet. Well balanced finish. Really good!

Bottled. An amber beer with an off-white head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet and dominated by caramel. Simple, but fine.

A brown beer with a small light brown disappearing head. The aroma is sweet malty and slightly roasted. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted bread, but unfortunately the body is thin.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Clear, orangey golden with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt and burned caramel. Medium body, burned caramel notes and a dry finish. Very decent. 130507

Bottle, 5.9%. Paper aroma. Nice dark brown, soy colour. Quite malty flavour, a bit roasted and creamy. Not bad. 5 3 6 3 14

Bottle, 5.9%. Soy aroma. Nicely dark brown colour. White head. The flavour is malty but slightly watery. OK creamy mouthfeel. Pleasant enough, like a slightly stronger Schwarzbier. 6 3 6 3 15

Test vom 13.12.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,6,7,8,14,6 - 6,85

(bottle, as Sauerländer Winter) Dark brown colour with small diminishing off-white head. Very sweet caramellish nose with roasted malts. Medium bodied, also sweetish malty character with low bitterness. Not recommendable.
