500 mL twist cap bottle picked up at the Frankfurt airport. A dark but clean cola brown pour with a ton of foam head. Semi sweet, doughy malts on the aroma. Both rich and bold bready malt flavor, a little carb bite. Sweet malty finish. Soft metallic burn. Pretty good overall.

On tap. Copper-brown color. Aroma: caramel malt with a touch of light fruit and candy. Taste: slightly sweet, malty, caramel, a bit dried fruits.

Really the only good thing about this beer is the free smoked salmon samples I got at the Caviar House in Frankfurt airport with it. Delicious. The beer has a light crisp roast vibe and clean finish - not a whole lot more. Bottle.

50 cl bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. Clear amber - brown color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, sweet, brown sugar, a hint of chestnut. Ok body and carbonation. Useful dunkel.

Bottle @ Home. Pours dark brown with a tan head, lacing. Aroma of malt, caramel, little brown sugar, some dark fruit. Flavor is sweet, malty, burnt caramel, yeast, dark fruit. Medium body, lively carbonation, sweet finish. 290515

*Old rating, best before 04.03.04. Rated as "Crailsheimer Dunkel, 5.2%. Schön vollmundig-weiches, leicht trockenes Dunkel. Röstmalz, karamell, dazu eine feine Bitterkeit. Lecker.
