Bottled. Dark pour. Very malty. Some chocolate. Light mouthfeel. Not too shabby.

From tap at House of Blues, New Orleans. Aroma is dark malt with caramel, light roast with a touch of chocolate and nuts. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a mild roasty biterness. Body modest to medium. A bit better than expected, fairly dull but hardly bad.

What a nice dark beer it is to drink. The beerlabel gives an idea of the name of the beer.

Walnut brown color with a woody aroma. Flavor is mild sweet caramel, malty, woody, toffee, roasted malt. Hoppy bitterness with some mild coffee bitterness and a dry finish.

Grapes and a bit of chocolate in the aroma. Grapes also in the flavor, along with blackcurrant, probably because of the use of Cascade hops. Thin with some chocolate in the aftertaste.

Can. Clear amber, beige head. Looks promising. But alas, aroma/taste fails to live up to the appearance. Toasted malt, hints of chocolate, lager, metallic notes. Watery finish.
