Bottle in Trade from Mark. Clear amber pour, mininal head. Sweet, tannic aroma. Taste too recalls tobacco, but comes off as too sweet. Just not liking this one.

500ml bottle. Deep amber red with a nice beige head. Aroma is caramel and fruit. Taste like a English beer should with a nice bitterness. Only slight carbonation makes it feel creamy. Overall a great beer timeless beer.

500ml bottle from Ken Warne grocery store, Darlington. Coppery amber colour, tan foam head and aroma of malt, toffee, caramel. Taste is roasty malt, doughy bready, some caramel, fruity and grassy earthy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy malty bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

*Old rating from 2011. Nice toasted beer with hints of malts and caramel. Nuts. Nice and easy to drink. Full and rich with a nice Ale characteristic. Great and round.

500 ml bottle. Deep copper color with a small frothy beige head with clinging lace. Toasted malt nose has a sharp fruity character. Upfront, more fruity malt with notes of plums and Demerara sugar. Slightly spicy hops in midtaste. Finish is soft and dry. Pleasant and well balanced. A nice example of an English bitter.
