Bottle with swing-top 0,33ltr: Hazy amber with an some kind of fruity taste, i miss the typical farmlike appearance. If this brew have that farmlike stuff, than it will got more points from me.

Apple vinegar aroma. Hoppy, oily, caramelly flavor with some tartness. Blackcurrant. Hopbitter, almost oaky aftertaste.

Like Saisis, this is another of the original Ellezelloise beers which did not survive the fusion with Géants. Wheat saison with yellowish white, thick, stable, moussy head and deep peach blond colour, cloudy. Very fruity aroma of orange, strawberry, white grapes, wheat, caramel, liquorice, grassy hops, honey, pepper, white chocolate, aniseed, coriander. Fruity onset with citrussy freshness, full and rounded palate, malt sweet, more spicy in the middle (impressions of ginger and cinnamon), with mild herbal hoppy finish. A bit too polished and not ’wild’ enough for a real saison, but still a more than decent ale.

Bottle @ home. Clear orange / light copper color, big white head. Smell malts, sweet and something weird. Taste lightly bitter, malts and bread. Decent carbo, low body.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with brief frothy beige head. Malty, spicy nose with dried fruit, hints of yeast and cinnamon, and some earthy/woody aromas. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of dark bread, dried fruit, yeast, spicy hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Mild bitterness in a spicy finish. Medium body, fairly sweet. Compared to most saisons it’s more spicy and sweet than grassy and bitter. Still, a nice beer.

Bottle. First of all, Saison 2000 is a really good name for a beer. This mysterious brew pours hazy orange with a small white head. It is heavy carbonated, which makes the head disappear really fast. It also makes this beers mouthfeel remind me of sparkiling water (in a rather good way for this kind of highly drinkable refresher). The aroma is yeasty and sweet. The taste is kind of strange with its vegtable notes (pumpkin) and spices (cinnamon, clove). Lots of crystal malt notes. Small earthy bitterness in the finish. This beer could only come from Belgium and I love it for what it is. I am really becoming a fan of this Ellezelloise brewery!

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. DArk yellow colour. Moderate malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter fla or. Week fruity notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. A little boring.
