Bottle from a stall at the Edinburgh Christmas market. Appearance - golden amber with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - porridge and rye bread. Taste - more rye, some earthy spice a bit like cumin. Palate - creamy and close to medium bodied. Dry, malty finish. Overall - decent.

Bottle. Clear gold with a small, short-lived white head. Aroma of grains, soap and floral hops. Taste is grainy, grassy, malty with an indistinctly fruity note. A little bit acidic and just slightly spicy. I keep thinking of old apples that have been left to rot in a forgotten basement far, far away. Bitter aftertaste that makes me yearn for a soda. Medium carbonation. I'm sure my mother-in-law meant well this christmas but I liked the Scotch she gave me the year before better.

Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local 'trinkgut', best before May 2019. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty and a little floral aroma of grains, straw and a touch of honey. Gently sweet, slightly malty and a bit floral taste of grains, some straw and a touch of honey, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy and quite metallic finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not good.

Optisch gold, leichter Schaumflaum, in der Nase Getreide. Im Trunk eher unspektakulär. Geht so. Vom Fass.

Clear golden. Rocky white head. Stays for a while. The aroma is grains, dusty hops, a hint of cooked peas, halva after warming. Light to medium body. Thin to oily texture. The flavour is grainy, dusty & spicy hop. Well rounded palate. Light bitterness. It leaves a mixed impression. It’s not refined like some other bavarian beers. Still it’s a fair brew to be enjoyed without complaining (at least once).
