From Alko Hirvensalo. Smell of wheat, yeast, banana. Hazy golden colour, high white head. Aroma of wheat, banana, clove, yeast. Soft carbon. Medium sweet. Pleasant.

On tap at Wirtshaus Hüttn', Nürnberg Wednesday 18th June 2025. Pours yolky yellow with a large white head, soft aroma with a light waft of banana and wheat. Taste is good again the wheatiness and banana reveal themselves but subtly. Nice mouthfeel, the carbonation is very soft, good beer.

Poured hazy and deep golden in color. White head.
Bananish sweet and yeasty with some wheat and estery presence. Light bodied.

Can as Rittmayer Weizen. A golden and murky beer, a head is big and blond. Aroma has wheat, banana, light sourness. Taste has lightness of wheat, some fruitness of banana. Medium bodied. Balanced and good beer.

As Rittmayer Weizen. Hazy orange colour, small white head. Light banana and some grain in the nose. Medium-bodied. Semi-sweet banana flavour, kind of neutral. Harmless banana-leaned weizen.

500ml can (as Hallerndorfer Weizen @5.5% ABV) from the Costco German Biergarten Collection. Drank in California on 18th April 2025, poured into an old Licher Weizen glass at my daughters. Hazed golden body, snow white crown. Wheat, banana and cloves, all the usual aromas in fact, taste also on the traditional side with the same flavours the nose suggests.

Starting off VERY strong. Goddamn this is good. If this is the level this box stays at or exceeds it’s going to be a good box.

George Rittmayer Weizen. 500 ml can from the Costco German Biergarten Collection. Pours an opaque gold color with a small white head and decent retention. Fair lacing. Standard yeast and cloves aroma. The taste follows the nose: Yeasty flavor up front, with some cloves and fruity banana esters in the finish. Good example of the style, but not my preferred style. Better than most Hefeweizens I've had. Medium body. Medium-light carbonation. Not bitter.
