Double Alien Church

Tired Hands Brewing Company in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, United States 🇺🇸

IPA - Imperial New England / Hazy Regular
Score
7.46
ABV: 9.0% IBU: - Ticks: 17
Brewed to be a massive double version of our psycho pan-dimensional Reptoid IPA, Alien Church. Composed with fluffy oats and hopped with plenty of Cascade & Columbus. Dry hopped super aggressively with Citra, Mosaic, and Chinook from our latest selections in Yakima, Washington. -Notes of resinous herb, sticky drippy mango slices, double the recommended dose of blueberry CBD dummies, sugar coated ruby red grapefruit halves, and fruit cocktail made from a melange of musky & very slightly overripe tropical fruits.

Can (5/13/21) pour from share with AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! It's an opaque dark yellow-light brown with nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width beige head with good retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong piney resin with citrus, mango, candied fruit, fruit cocktail, mild danky herb. Taste is strong apricot and mango, milder resin and dank elements, hint of herb and strong grain bill balance. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin, smooth texture, no hint of alcohol, and crisp, dry finish with yeast and mild bitterness. Overall, very solid. Amazing complexity in the aroma and good strength all around. Beware of ABV as deceptively light!

16 oz. can. Dated: 05/13/21. Aroma is old school DIPA; mild pine resin, grapefruit, apricot, and malt. Flavor spot on the aroma. What is nice is how hidden the alcohol is. Bitterness is moderate but balances the fruit. Real good old school example.

Nice tropical fruit grassy hop aroma. Taste is nice, juicy, pineapple, aromatic hops, balanced bitterness in the finish. Nice.

A tad sweet on the finish, but other than that, a good beer. Mango, fruity, tropical. Great hockey in the Florida derby. Crushed this.
