Can.Clear golden colour with small white head.Aromabis spicy with flavor of coriander and some other herbs nice well balanced with good note of hops and grass nice by style beer.

In der Nase grüßt Belgien, Erinnerungen an alkoholgeschwängerte Abende in Brügge. Optisch Pfirsich-Orange. Keine Perlung. Im Trunk herrlicher Trapistentrunk, Pfirsich, Holzfass, Trauben und ein Funken Tim und Struppi. Ach herrlich, ich muss mal wieder verreisen. Allons-y!

On tap at the Lion’s Head. Pours cloudy gold. Esters, vanilla, clove, grain, sweet, stewed stone fruit. Medium body. Fine.

Orange with a large soapy white head. Phenolic, musty and yeasty with a hint of medicine and tropical fruit. Medium finish and body.

I always like it when a domestic brewery makes an effort at a Belgian-style. Sometimes it works. And more often, well, it is better to stick to the pilsners and the IPAs. Cigar City generally one of my favorites, it is time to see what they have attempted. I pull out my ABGB snifter to drink from, before pulling the tab on the 12 oz can and making the pour. Some yellow leading into gold with a thin skim of white foam. Nice carbonation keeping things active. The smell is ripe yellow fruit, grain and yeast. A drink follows and I have to say, right off, this is a decent Belgian. Hay, apricots, a touch of citrus from somewhere, some hoppy bitterness, malt and a small cane sweetness. Now, if only they had a quadrupel I could try.

Golden beer, a head is medium and white. Aroma has grain, earthyness, only light fruitness. Taste has body on grain, more fruitness than in hte aroma, some arthyness and alcohol. Medium bodied. Far too straightforward and boring.

12 oz can from John, 11/27/22. Mostly clear orange color, off white head. Toffee, caramel, dark fruit / raisin, banana, and clove. Brown sugar and booze. Sweet, sticky, and a little hot. Complex, but also somehow one note. Paradoxical, which makes scoring it difficult. Weird beer. I like it, but I can't imagine wanting more than 12 ounces. Settled here, but it could have easily been a few points higher or lower.

Tap at cigar city brewery spruce Street. A mostly clear burnt orange amber coloured pour with a fine off white head. Aroma is semi sweet, subdued mellow raisin, apple, brown sugars, very mellow. Flavour is composed of semi sweet light orange fragrance, raisin, layered malts, toffee, some alcohol warmth. Not worth the abv payoff..
