Bottle 500ml @ fonefan
Pours cloudy dark golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grain, butterscotch and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s a clear, dark golden beer with a small, white head. Fruityness, toffee, pale malts and some alcohol on the nose. Not unpleasant but rather boring. The flavor is pretty much the same, full-bodied and slighlty papery on the palate. Pale malts, some bitterness, a good dash of fruityness and toffee. Lasting sweet and bitter finish with fruityness. Nothing impressive, drinkable, but too boring and strong to be quenching or moreish. 110415

Bottle @ FOneFan. Slightly hazy golden with medium off-white head. Flavour is malt, sweet, caramel, fruit, bitter and hops.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sweet malt, butterscotch, caramel and hops.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear deep golden with a tiny off-white head. Sweet diacetyl nose combined with sweet caramel. Solid body, heavy malt base, caramel and smoke with a hoppy finish that also has quite some alcohol heat. Not too clean. 150411

Bottle: A bit unclear, amber coloured, quickly collapsing small white foamy layer; sweet malty-caramelly nose with a distinctive nutty-oily background, a delicatebitterness underneath; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, quite soft; increasing "woody" bitterness in the nutty-caramelly finish, delicate traces of smoke(!) detectable in the adtertaste. Not superb, but very moreish.....

(bottle) Slightly hazy, deep golden colour with a medium-sized and lightly off-white foamy head. Sweet, slightly bready and nutty cara-malty aroma with subtle fruity notes and a tinge of alcohol and herbal hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly bready cara-malty taste with delicate herbal and woody hoppy notes; sweet-bitter, slightly hoppy and alcoholic finish. Not too sweet and likeable pale Doppelbock. 28.II.11

Süß-malziger Antrunk, ansprechend würzig. Im Mittelteil etwas milder, die Würzigkeit bleibt weitestgehend erhalten, die Malzigkeit wird süßer, verwässert aber auch etwas. Im Abgang kräftiger in Richtung Schokolade gehend, die Süße weicht. Sehr würzig, angenehm harmonisch. Guter Doppelbock mit leichten Schwächen im Mittelteil.
