bottle from Edeka Marktredwitz. Clear deep brown with a dense beige head. Malty, lots of roasetd malts and toffee/caramel. Shy hoppy touch in the finish. Smooth and velvety palate. Perfectly balanced Dunkel, very good!

Bottle, 5.4%. Subtle farty aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Good malty aroma, a little liquorice/anis note, very faint. Sourish finish, not bad, though. Low bitterness.

Bottle: Deep amber coloured, stable and lacy beige head; shy dry roast-malty aromas in the light dark-malty nose; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; cacao-powder in the dryish-malty finish. More a Schwarzbier than a Dunkel, absolutely not too sweet.........

(screw cap bottle) Clear, auburn colour with a dense mid-sized beige foamy head. Moderately sweet toast-malty nose, slightly grainy with a whiff of citrus and herbal hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, hearty toast-malty taste with distinctive notes of caramel and a bit of burnt sugar that linger into the malt-accented finish. Pleasant Franconian Dunkel (20.05.08).

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, but combined with notes of metal and a slight acidity.
