A Belgian style Brut Ale, brewed with only 3 malts, pilsner, rye and wheat malt, with nelson sauvin hops in the whirlpool. This is a light spicy beer with a gooseberry hop character. Brewed to usher in the new year.

330ml bottle, 2021 vintage. Slightly hazy golden brown, off-white head, lots of sediment. Aroma of yeasty esters, dried fruits, berries. Taste is sweet, malts, bready and spicy yeasty esters, dried fruits, slightly vinous, boozy and dry finish. Somewhat flat, I was expecting it to be rather effervescent given the style.

Honey-sweet, quite light and thin mouthfeel, but packing a punch. I'm really enjoying it.

Light haze on this gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Nose is alarmingly gluey and undesirable alcohol bi-products, big pear esters. Palate manages to be both light and slightly viscous. To that odd combo is added a crisp fine carbonation. Sweet pale malts, slightly thin for the abv. Lots of very estery pear things going on. A trace of honeyish fruits is the only good thing I can say about this train wreck. Light crisp finish. I admire the intent but fuck me, the end result is a drain cleaner!
