6th July 2022 Can. Ah the Fermi Paradox, where is all the life that must be out there. Well here's my take - life is probably common in the universe but not necessarily complex in nature and very rarely intelligent. I mean it took a catastrophe to wipe the dinosaurs and allow intelligent apes to evolve. And here we are breeding ourselves into oblivion. Maybe that is the way of intelligent life wherever it emerges. Anyway, intelligent life produced the beer in my mit. Hazy orange gold with a small pale cream colour head. Nose has a little hop fruits but is dominated by a savoury and rounded hop skunk. Light palate, smooth, reasonable fine carbonation coming through on the back end. Light malts deliver a light creamy sweetness and a solid foundation on which the hops can build. Strata and Citra seem to dominate with skunk and citrus. Not really picking up any Strata passion fruit and nothing Motueka at all. Nibbly hop spice on the back end. A nice dipa, but one that focuses slightly more on the dirtier side of the hop.3.8
17th September 2022. Much more hop brightness this time around. Addictive slightly savoury citric tropical fruit melange with a touch of kiwi lime hop. Crisp cool pine. Trace of hop spice. Really drinkable and an improvement on the previous edition.
