Lots of biscuity malt character from the best quality Scottish malted barley. Crystal malt add toffee and caramel taste and black malt contributes a crisp astringent balance. Challenger and Goldings hops add a fresh herbal and resin hop note as well as a refreshing bitter linger to balance with the sweet malt character.

Bottle, 330 ml from Gem Shop, Zagreb. Pours deep orange to brown, off white head. Caramel, toasted, nutty, sweetish and bitter. Dry finish. Medium bodied. Better than expected.

Clear, copper colored, small off white head. Aroma is of malt, bit biscuit, bready. Taste is medium sweet malt, bready, some biscuit, light toast, very subtle fruity notes, grassy light bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bit oily. (bottle)

Bottle @ Jacobs. Pours dark Golden with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, caramel, little vanilla, nuts. Flavor is light sweet, malty, little caramel, nutty. Medium body, average to lively carbonation. 230116

Nitro can from Bert’s Deep auburn color with a proper off white nitro head. A bit heavy on the butterscotch flavor and aroma. Dry pitted fruits a hint of mineral water. Decent enough ale, but not my style.

Nitro-keg. Cremiger, weicher Schaum. Leicht herber Antrunk. Bernstein-rötlich im Glas. Süffig-cremiger Antrunk, etwas flach, leicht säuerlich. Der Hauptteil ist leicht fruchtig-süß-säuerlich, sehr cremig. Süffig, aber malzig-komisch. Im Nachgeschmack zieht sich diese malzig-harmonische Note lange hin, vereint mit einer leichten Herbe bleibt sie lange auf der Zunge. 11/13/10/11
