It’s a classic West Coaster with all U.S. hops; powerful pine and grapefruit aromas pour forth from the glass, then the assertive hop bite leaps on to the palate along with flavours of tangerine and lemon. The robust malt keeps it in balance, leading to a long, bitter finish.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Almost clear deep amber, mid sized head. Generous aroma of grapefruit and tangerine. Mid dry with solid body and rounded mouthfeel. Grapefruit, tangerine and pine. Resinous bitter finish.

Can from Asda. Clear golden body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange rind and pine. Flavour of orange and a bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A tasty and bitter IPA.

440ml can from Asda. Clear dark gold with foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, funk, pine. There is a very nice balance to this, mid-sweet, mid-bitter with notes of malt, tangerine, grapefruit, pine, mild medicinal notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Good.

Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, some nectary and a bit citrusy tones. Flavour is citrus, some nectar, mild floral, fruity and a bit grapefruity bitterness to it.

Clear copper with a white head. Big grapefruit, pine, citrus notes along with toasted malt. Medium bodied. Finish has plenty of dry bitterness. A true WCIPA and a well-brewed one, too.
