It’s a classic West Coaster with all U.S. hops; powerful pine and grapefruit aromas pour forth from the glass, then the assertive hop bite leaps on to the palate along with flavours of tangerine and lemon. The robust malt keeps it in balance, leading to a long, bitter finish.

Draft at Druggists, Singapore. Poured a clear golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light tropical citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a fresh, crisp, light toffee, light fruity citrus, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. The kind of beer they say is “easy drinking” but I find all beers easy to drink!

Can. Almost clear burnished gold beer, decent bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft malts, light, clean and delivering a soft creamy sweetness. Soft pine. Some candy fruits I really was not expecting. Mosaic? Sweetish mild citrus that slowly develops a mild orange, tangerine and mandarin peel bitterness. Very soft pine throughout. Finishes with more candy fruits to the fore. Quite like this, which I really didn't expect, because I've grown very tired of this style. But then this brew doesn't work follow the tiresome caramel and marmalade well beaten track. A sweetish fruity IPA then, goes down easy.

440ml can. Crystal clear golden with a big white head. Aroma of grapefruit, tangerine, piney resin. Taste is piney, resinous, grapefruit and tangerine, nips of caramel, resounding dry and bitter finish with citrus peel, zest, pith. Medium bodied. Could nitpick and say it should be a bit more bitter but honestly this is excellent, really nicely done. An OG WCIPA from two OG craft brewers.

Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed at home Friday 15th September 2023 listening to Afrodeutsche on 6Music heating up a homemade Chicken and Chorizo Lasagna for tea tonight. Pours clear light/mid gold with a fast disappearing white head, nice bite, light resinous, dry finish, tastes closer to a Stone beer than a Thornbridge beer but yet differs from their classics, this is very nice, soft mouthfeel, lengthy bitterness. Excellent.

Keg at Craftsman Company, Aberdeen. It pours crystal clear golden - yellow with a sturdy white head. The aroma is fresh, sappy, piney, resinous, west coast dankness, green, grapefruit, pomelo and candied peel. The taste is firmly dry, bitterness kick which builds, clean malt base, sappy, oily, resinous, pine, slightly floral, pithy, zesty, waxy citrus peel, grapefruit in particular, peppery spice and a nip of alcohol. Medium body and fine carbonation. Ticks all of the west coast boxes and sits at a pleasing abv. Very well done.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from HOTM. Pours clear deep honey-gold with a foamy, white head. Nails the style. Moderate sweetness, nips of sun-kissed malts, some piney hops, citrus fruit/rindy impressions. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Decently resinous on the finish, bitter but not excessively so, supportive malts, more rindy notes. Excellent.
