GBBF, cask. Aroma has roasted malt. Firm licorice apple and roasted malt flavor. Long roasted bitter finish. Loads of flavor for the modest alcohol content.

Cask at GBBF ’17, 11/08/17. Charcoal aroma. Jet black. Bubbly beige head. Light bitter. Creamy finish. Light bodied. Surprisingly watery. A prickly of carbonation. Abrupt finish. An uninspiring stout. Drinkable. That’s it.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Opaque dark brown beer, no real head. Smooth low carbonation palate. A little roasty malt with bitter licorice. A smooth but pretty grapefruit bitter finish. Ok but a few too many rough edges.
