Very light gold colour, but fantastic smell. Hops dominate the taste but also other flavours. Nice aftertaste and a great overall IPA, but not too much of a single taste!

Gold, lasting off white head. Citrus nose. Good citrus hop taste............

a good hoppy beer, but as with their ESB, theres better stuff out there. one of those mid-upper tier beers. but certainly not the best.
Rerate Haha, mid-upper tier beers my ass. I don’t know what I was talking about. But to my credit, this was probably a better beer 2-3 years ago. Had this on draught last October and though it wasnt terribly watery, the hops seemed old, slightly nutty and only lightly floral at best. Boring pale ale malt adds no complexity whatsoever. No head retention, clear and pale. Redhook is a sad, sad shade of its former self.

I wonder about this beer and whether or not it has changed. I wonder about my older rating that pronounced it as rather bitter. I wonder about other ratings here that pronounced it bitter and hoppy. I wonder about the comparison to Bigfoot below, esp in terms of dark color and strong hopping. I wonder, I wonder. Because I just bought a fresh bottle of it and here's what it was: Light golden color, with a large creamy head. Very mild citric hop aroma with a little clean malt in the nose too. Flavor is very mildy fruity, and there is a soft bitterness. The hop flavors are very light, and a bit on the grassy side. Fairly crisp, and mainly resembling a pale ale, not an IPA.

Golden-bronze colour. Aroma is light mixed toasted malts and woody, slightly grapefruity hop. Lightish body for style with a moderate bitterness, woody notes and a bit of toastiness. Clean, dull, dry finish. (original rating Ar 7, Ap 3, F 6, P 2 O 13 = 3.1)
