We're huge fans of Jon Hopkins and his amazing music. This recipe is based on the track Jon wrote called 'Light Through The Veins'. He was struggling with a creative block at the time and managed to release it by way of restrictions and limits...in this case, basing the music around the number 9. As an ode and a riff, the recipe for this beer is all 9s or divisibles thereof! Let this mega hopped-up banger light up your veins...PARTY!

On tap at the Star & Garter, Bromley. Cloudy dark yellow pour with a white head. Nice nose of guava, mango, pineapple, peach, grapefruit. Taste is zesty orange, pineapple, mango, grapefruit, guava, touch of lime. Rich boozy mouthfeel. Fruity heavy hop laden finish. Very nice.

Panda at home, thanks to Dave, 11/05/23. Murky orange with a good sized lasting just off white head. Nose is bitter orange, stoned fruit esters, pine resin, hop spice, dank waftings, grapefruit, papaya, Taste comprises pine resin, lychee, mango, Nelson tones, grass, hop spice, grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close Solid full flavoured DIPA with a good bitter edge that combats the tropical fruit sweetness well.
