From tap at Wee Vault, Edinburgh. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malt, cocoa, vanilla. Medium sweet, lightly some alcohol. Medium to full body. Nice chocolate aroma, easy drinking despite the abv. Good.

(Keg at the brewery taproom, 20250609) 10% ABV. The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, sweet chocolate, coffee and ash. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweet chocolate, coffee, ash, alcohols and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, ash, alcohols and bitterness. Quite boozy. Not too sweet but unbalanced.

Draught keg at the brewpub. Very dark brown and mostly opaque with an uneven film of khaki head. Smells of molasses, liquorice, cocoa powder. Taste is sweet with a little bit of umami. Treacle, sesame seed. Wow. Soft finish mellowing the intense flavours. Medium body with soft to medium carbonation. Amazing.

Аромат шоколадный, не сказать что очень пастри при этом, не много сладкого. Во вкусе снова шоколад черный, немного ванили и бочки. Есть терпкость небольашя от кофе и бобов. В целом просто норм, хотелось бы больше пастри.

Can at home, 5th December 24. Pours black and thick. Aroma is classic Impy, dark roasted malts, soy, liquorice, chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, bitter chocolate, liquorice. Lovely classic stout

(Draught at Mother Kelly's Bethnal Green, London, 25 Nov 2022) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, coffee, liquorice, black bread and vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with espresso, dark chocolate, liquorice, roasted malt, black bread, vanilla, bourbon oak wood and a balanced coffe bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet. Rich, powerful and quite tasty. Very nice.

On tap at The Craft Beer Co - Covent Garden, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out rich oak, medium roast and a touch of bitterness. Flavour is rich, with toasted caramel, medium roast and light vanilla. Rich, roasty and vanilla-y. Good stuff.
