Bottle, thx to fonefan. Clear, amber pour with a dense, beige head on top. Vegetable stock, quite umami-ish, meat and a quite fruityness in the aroma. Sweetness, stock and fruityness in the flavor, meaty umami as well. Medium sweetish mouthfeel. A strange one, boring in a way, but with an interesting twist. (080412)

Bottle, 5% from Crombé according to the label. Lager aroma. Clear amber colour, small tan head. The flavour is quite sweet, almost sugary. There is also some flavour and aroma hops in there. Ending slightly bitter, but sweet all the way with a little acidity to balance. Has a lot more flavour than expected from ABV, but after a while, it gets rather too sugary.

Beautiful amber color; fine perlage; creamy head. Very nice aroma, of old cellar and hops, so peculiar, very close to an Orval, but sweeter. Medium body structure, some malt, some tart, much simpler than the aroma lets hope.

(Bottle 33 cl) This is the original version from "Brij Crombé" in Zottegem. Beautifuly golden with a pretty decent head. Some caramel-like notes, yet rather dry, light-bodied and pleasantly refreshing. An imperial beer indeed... 230297

Bottled, old Crombé version. Cloudy amber, small head. Oxidized arma of tofee and paper. There’s Caramel and roasted malt, velvetty mouthfeel and notes of fruit. The finish bears signs of aging - citric and fizzy.
