Lervig are renowned as one of the best breweries in the world and we got together and designed something big and dark with a twist. We've brewed a straight imperial stout called Celestial with a light roastiness and fermented using Norwegian Voss kveik yeast. This beer was allowed to ferment very hot and has produced gentle citrus notes to compliment the chocolate and coffee flavours of the base beer. We've always loved the other-worldly vibes from Lervig's artwork, so get lost in a vast sea or sky of heavenly stout. It's no coincidence that 'celestial' also means 'supremely good'.

Draft. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of spices, yeast, roasted malt, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, spices, and yeast, leading to a dry finish. I'm not a fan of Kveik.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours black, with moderate, rather fine brown foam. Aroma is coffee and some dark chocolate. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is rather roasty bitter, but also hop bitter. Final is average. Overall, a disappointment. They hid the level of alcohol very well (incredible, actually), and the beer is really easy to drink, but at the same time, it doesn't give you anything in particular. It feels like a 5-6% stout.

Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg, Øllets Dag 2023. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of coffe and hops, with malty and estery touches. Bitter, roasty and hoppy flavour with notes of malt and barrel and touches of yeast and dried fruit. Barrellike and malty aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. Decent.

Draught. Great coffee aroma. Black colour. The flavour has a great coffee note. Mild and pleasant. Creamy and not bitter. Fruity and well-rounded. Just enough sweetness, and with a little acid in the finish.

Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitter met een heel licht zuurtje van zwarte bessen, wat chocolade en karamel.
