Somewhat malty, but hardly any aroma to speak of. Noticeable bitterness. Watery and cheap. Kind of the laughing stock of beers in my social milieu, but the sad thing is it’s not even de worst pilsener I’ve had.

Gebraut in der Brauerei Martens in Belgien. Mild und süßlich, es fehlt an allem,; kaum als Pilsner zu erkennen.

0,5 l can from an Aldi-Nord. Brewed at Brouwerij Martens, B-3950 Bocholt. Clear golden in the glass, more than one finger white head. Low malty grainy aroma. Taste is smooth grainy, some malt, caramel and cookies. Mid bitterness, mid carbonation. Nothing special but value for your small money.
A noticeably bad cheap supermarket lager. Some odd unknown flavour exists that is extremely unique to this beer. Like ashes and soap. Aldi ams

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Yellow colour, small white head. Herbal and mildly salty and biscuity elements. Flavour is herbal, floral, some biscuity and mild yeasty elements. Kind of bulky pils.

Half-litre can: BB 9th June 2023. Bought in a 'night shop' while staying in Cochem last week, drank at home on 19th September 2022. Cheap supermarket Pils and it shows! Decent enough look, bright, clean and clear light golden body, white head that tried to stay (but failed). Mini grainy front to the nose and taste, but not enough to get excited about. It's pretty poor to be honest.

Can. Clear gold featuring a decent white head. Aroma and taste of grains, grass, metal and straw. Medium bitterness. Strong carbonation. No glory but for a cheap beer it’s actually ok. I’ve had worse.

green can brygget efter schultenbrau pilsner original tysk opskrift 4.9% BRAUEREI GOTHA DIRK KOLLMAR STRASSE 1, D-99867 Gotha. Seems like a few similar named aldi pils are brewed by different german breweries, check brewery on can. Clear yellow, white head. sweet malty and sweet hoppy floral slightly industrial aroma, but i kind of like the slight added sweetness, reminds me of beer from the south eastern part of mid-europa. flowery note. flavor is flowery, malty, there is a bitter yellow fruity note that i don't like, bitter apples, yellow fruits, like if they had mixed a pils with belgian tripel. the bitterness is a bit sudden and somewhat herbal. plus points for being flavorful, but the flavor is not really to my liking - i think, however, that some people would like it a lot, i can't deny it is quite authentic german pilsener. one could probably get used to the flavor and start liking it more.. quite dry and herbal bitter. yet also in a weird way sweet and soft.
