440ml can., Very dark brown almost black, tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate, roast malt. Taste is sweet, milk chocolate, some roast malt and a bit of caramel, needed more biscuity malt to sell the cookie flavours but otherwise solid. Pretty sweet, smooth.

Can from the brewery online shop. Appearance - dark brown to black and orange chink. Creamy tan head. Nose - toffee, cacao nibs and coffee. Taste - honeycomb, burnt toffee and milk chocolate. Palate - medium bodied, roasty, chewy and rich. Overall - good.

Draught keg at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Dark brown and opaque with a thing ring of khaki head. Chocolate cookie aroma, vanilla and caramel. Sweet taste which stays sweet. I find that a lot of flavoured stouts can almost sour in the finish, but this remains smooth throughout. Some light hop which gives the aftertaste more balance. Light body with medium to heavy carbonation.

On tap at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours almost black with minimal cream head. Lactose and biscuits to the for in the aroma. In the mouth itโs lactose again at first, plus a hint of ginger, but this quickly turns to roasted malts and biscuits with a trace of chocolate. Hints of liquorice as well. Biscuits remain in the finish. This is quite nice.
