Bottle split at CBC Islington, thanks to Kenny, 12/09/18. Pitch black with a well presented tan cap. Nose is tangy dark fruits, charr, roast malts, spice, fruit cake. Taste comprises mellow roast, chocolate, light smoke, mellow whisky barrel, toffee, dried fruits. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced alcohol. Decent enough impy but would have liked more of the barrel characteristics.

Craft Islington bottleshare. Clear amber brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth thin dark malts, little thin dark malt cream. Mellow chocolate. Back end is about soft whiskey soaked fruits. Tastes like Irish Whiskey. Tangy fruity finish. A trifle thin but quite tasty.
