--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Clear mahogany colour, small head. Tart mildly smoky nose. Mid sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Tart meaty smoke. Fairly sharp. Low bitterness.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Copper colour, small white head. Aroma is smoked and meaty tones with some sweet malts and mild rye bready tones. Really nicely balanced aroma, with a depth tones. Flavour is smoked, some wooden mildly meaty tones too. Smooth and pleasant. And actually not that far from the Aecht thing in Bamberg.

Can from Salling @ Home. Pours clear very dark reddish brown tan head, some lacings. Aroma of malt, light caramel, rich smoke, woodfira, sausages. Flavor is light sweet, malty, smoke, woodfire. Medium body, soft to average carbonation, sweet smoked finish. 050523

Draught @ C4, Odense. Pours amber with a small White head. Beech smoke, Wood and caramel. Ashtray. Smooth and medium bodied. Bamberg smoke. Quite good.

Tap @Åben, Kødbyen. Clear, very dark brown, lasting offwhite head. Meaty, woody, smoked malt aroma. Sweet, smoked malt flavour, slightly meaty with light hoppy bitterness. Rather light but quite drinkable, could be nice with food but lacks some depth. Quite a name to live up to, does a decent job
